The next time you’re at a trade show, spend some time watching traffic patterns.
Find the booth that visitors are actively avoiding, the one people cross the aisle to steer clear of, like a line of cars veering around road kill.
Odds are you’ll notice a couple things about that booth:
- Aggressive, smiling, identically-clothed salespeople are lined up at the edge of their booth facing the aisle
- To everyone who passes, they are shouting something like, “How’d you like to save money on printer cartridges?” Or, “Does your wireless provider treat you like family?”
- Other salespeople are sitting in the back eating, drinking, talking or typing on their cell phones, chatting with each other, listening to their iPod, looking bored.
Then think about how your staff behaves in your booth. Now call us. We can help.
